ClientKlief Rehabilitation

Year2024

Rehabilitation surrounded by the sea and innovative technology.

On the waterfront of Ostend lies Klief, formerly BZIO (Bundeling Zorginitiatieven Oostende). They describe themselves as “a rehab-harbor for those seeking high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation.” In 2023, Klief decided to focus on improving patient safety and experience. To achieve this, the building was renovated in several phases.

Call Button Tailored to the Rehabilitation Patient

The open standard offered by the 25-8 call system is crucial for Klief. Standard call buttons are not sufficient for every resident. Not everyone is able to press a button due to physical limitations, for example. Therefore, it was necessary to find a call system that could be flexibly and seamlessly adapted to these diverse needs.

Specifically for rehabilitation patients, Klief can easily integrate a variety of Skil assistive devices, such as switches, push buttons, carpet sensors, and more. Although the method of triggering the call may differ, it is received in exactly the same way by the caregiver, allowing for rapid and efficient assistance. This maximizes patient safety and well-being, which is essential within Klief’s care environment.

In the long term, we want to continue focusing on the innovative technology of 25-8.

Intelligent Lighting & Alarm Visualization

The most striking renovation is that the entire rehabilitation center is now equipped with alarm visualization through lighting. Using color-coded lighting, caregivers can quickly and intuitively see where an alarm is occurring and the exact nature of the care request—whether it’s a standard call, assistance request, or sanitary call. This functionality enables caregivers to respond more quickly and efficiently, ensuring the safety and well-being of the rehabilitation patients.
