This initiative aims to make the hospital experience for children less intimidating and more engaging by not only incorporating vibrant colors, playful designs, but also innovative technology. Unmatched, a leading Belgian healthcare technology firm with 25 years of expertise, was entrusted with the task of integrating the necessary technology to make this happen. This whitepaper explores the pioneering Planet Gold project and the general long term vision for the future of pediatric care in Belgium.

As the rocket doors open on Planet Gold, friendly aliens extend a warm welcome to children and their families. These endearing characters not only introduce the head of nursing for the day, providing parents with a familiar point of contact, but also encourage you to follow the guiding lights to the reception.
Wayfinding
In co-creating with Zumtobel Lighting & Unmatched, an intelligent lighting solution was created that not only enlightens the corridors or rooms, but also guides people to where they need to go.
At Planet Gold the dynamic lighting will simulate the entrance of a space shuttle and guide families towards the reception, where they are welcomed by the nurses.
